TKCOM: LMI in China

In the framework of the project "Building up Chinese Teachers Key Competences through a Global Competence-Based Framework" (586415-EPP-1-2017-1-ES-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) some members of the LMI have traveled to Chongquing (China) to participate in the closing of the training activity and in the research team meeting from July 23 to 29, 2018.

INNUVIC, a teaching innovation project led by Jan Frigola and Lucrezia Crescenzi, members of the LMI-UVIC research group, was presented at the First Iberoamerican Congress Nebrija PIATCOM that took place on May 25 at Nebrija University of Madrid.

LMI participates in the FIET2016 conference, which is held on July 8 at the Education and Psychology School of University of Girona. The new scenarios and challenges of the current era have led to have to be rethinking the necessary skills, knowledge and attitudes to address an interconnected, complex, changing and technological society.

Six students of the University of Vic-Universitat Central de Catalunya traveled to Catania (Sicily) to participate in the International Project Reporting Diversity: an ethical representation of migrants and minorities. Dr. Raul Martínez Corcuera (LMI-UVIC) is the coordinator of the Project. During the stay we could participate actively in conferences, workshops and interviews analyzing the treatment of ethnic minorities, migrants and refugees in the media.

The journalist Brigitte Vasallo participates on Friday 22 April at the Workshop Male violence? Not us! Others! It is a new workshop framed in the European project PRISM: Preventing, Inhibiting redressing and hate speech in new Media. Beatriu Guarro will present the platform STOP Mare Mortum and Raul Martinez Corcuera, professor at the UVIC and member of the Research Group LMI-UVIC will participate as expert on analysis of media representation and participation of minorities.
