Last July, Josep Torelló (LMI) and Jume Duran published the article "Music and the subversion of diegetic space-time in the work of Pere Portabella (1967-1976)" at number 24 of L'Atalante. Revista de Estudios Cinematográficos.

Mariona Grané, Rafael Suárez and Josep Torelló, members of the LMI, also accompained with colleague Anna Tarragó, have presented the paper session “Apps4CAV: creación de un instrumento de recogida de datos” at the VI Congreso Internacional Multidisciplinar de Investigación Educativa CIMIE17 that has been held at Universidad de Deusto, Bilbao, on June 28th and 29th.

Presentation "Aesthetic Utopias: futuribles for a society in crisis" by Ricardo Iglesias (LMI-UB), in the framework of the International Image Festival + ISEA 2017 (Manizales, Colombia). ISEA is the most important electronic art symposium in the international context.

The access exams to obtain the Full Professor rank were held on the 30th and 31st of May at the Department of Didactics and School Organisation of the University of Barcelona.  Dr. Antonio Bartolomé, who is the PI of the group, won the access. Both his academic and professional career and his research on Block Chains and Education were highly valued by the board, who gave him the maximum punctuation.  Congratulations!

The project "Analysis of apps and protection mechanisms for early childhood" directed by Lucrezia Crescenzi (LMI-UVIC) and "YouTubers and inclusive speech" directed by Raul Martínez (LMI-UVIC) received a grant from the Broadcasting Council of Catalonia (CAC) in the XI Call for Support for Research on Audiovisual Communication.

Maria Forga Martel and Raúl Martínez Corcuera, lecturers at the University of Vic and members of the LMI, presented the communication "The image of the Arab-Muslim society of the Mediterranean through the analysis of their documentaries" at the III International Congress of Visual Culture held at the UAO, Barcelona, on the 22nd and 23rd of May.
