TKCOM: LMI in China

In the framework of the project "Building up Chinese Teachers Key Competences through a Global Competence-Based Framework" (586415-EPP-1-2017-1-ES-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) some members of the LMI have traveled to Chongquing (China) to participate in the closing of the training activity and in the research team meeting from July 23 to 29, 2018.

Samuel Viñolo and Jaume Duran have co-published a book on Pixar's film "UP" (Peter Docter, 2009) in the collection "Guide to see and analyse cinema" published by Nau Llibres.  The book analyses the film with accessible language.

During the past months of June, July and August of 2015, Samuel Viñolo (LMI/University of Vic) has taken part in an experience as a teacher of exchange invited by the School of Art and Design of the University of Coventry (United Kingdom) beside recognised artists like George Saxon and Darryl Georgiou. During the exchange period Viñolo gave seminars of animation and graphic design and supervised the MA final projects.

Elena Cano Maite Fernandez presented the paper "Assessing competencies in the new European Higher Education Area: students vs. Academics" in the EAIR2015, meeting, held in Vienna from August 30 to September 2, 2015.

This week is going to open an exhibition of Rosa Tarruella, from LMI, at the Muzeum Archidiecezjalne, Przemyśl, Poland, from september to novembe, with 35 pieces - drypoints, someone pencil coloured, with a poem of the polish poet Tadeusz Różewicz and an autor's text.

Last July, Joseph Torello, research collaborator of LMI defended his doctoral thesis: Music in films: the subversion of cinematic language in the work of Pere Portabella (1967-1976), led by Dr. Jaume Duran.

With a brilliant defense, the thesis was evaluated Excellent Cum Laude by the thesis committee.

The same Pere Portabella attend the event.
