TKCOM: LMI in China
In the framework of the project "Building up Chinese Teachers Key Competences through a Global Competence-Based Framework" (586415-EPP-1-2017-1-ES-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) some members of the LMI have traveled to Chongquing (China) to participate in the closing of the training activity and in the research team meeting from July 23 to 29, 2018.
On May 23, 2017, the 10th Conference of the Bureau for Audiovisual Diversity will be held. It will be discussed on the media discourses towards the migrated people and the different approaches to the speech of hate. As every year, the IX Prize for Audiovisual Diversity will be awarded to audiovisual programs, productions or initiatives that better reflect cultural diversity. Raúl Martínez Corcuera, member of the LMI and professor of the UVIC participates in this session.

Jofre Llombart, subdirector of the radio program El món (RAC1) speaks at the University of Vic about 24 HOURS OF RADIO PRODUCTION TO CREATE THE MOST LISTENED MAGAZINE IN CATALONIA.
Organized by the LMI research group and the Department of Journalism, the conference will take place at 13 hours in the Sala Mercè Torrents, University of Vic.

Raúl Martínez Corcuera, Lecturer at the Universitat de Vic y member of LMI and Iolanda Tortajada, Lecturer at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili are presenting the research on Diversity in television fiction realized from the Mesa per a la Diversitat en l’Audiovisual - CAC
Raúl Martínez Corcuera, LMI researcher and professor at UVIC, participated in the report "Diversity in Television Fiction", published by the Mesa per a la Diversitat en l’Audiovisual of the CAC.
The study analyzes the role of people from diverse ethnic origins in fiction series, produced and/or broadcasted in Catalonia. A first conclusion of the study refers low diversity in the origin of protagonists.
Ricardo Iglesias (from LMI UB), presents the exhibition Net.Art and Control in La Neomudejar, Centro de Artes de Vanguardia (Madrid) from January until May. The new technologies have opened unexpected spaces of aesthetic dialogue and, at the same time, they criticize positions of power and control. The exhibition presents a review on New Media Art development in the last twenty years from the production of the artist Ricardo Iglesias.
