TKCOM: LMI in China

In the framework of the project "Building up Chinese Teachers Key Competences through a Global Competence-Based Framework" (586415-EPP-1-2017-1-ES-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) some members of the LMI have traveled to Chongquing (China) to participate in the closing of the training activity and in the research team meeting from July 23 to 29, 2018.

We finished the year with a new publication in the Transmedia XXI collection published by the LMI.  Dr. Josep Torelló introduce us his book "La música en las Maneras de Representación cinematográfica".

We are glad to inform you that the second Consortium Meeting of MARGIN will be held on 17th and 18th of December 2015 in Florence, Italy.
The specific objective is to select a sample of neighbourhoods in five urban areas (Barcelona, Paris, London, Milan and Budapest) for the implementation of the anthropological fieldwork in 2016.

Tuesday 1 December at 12.30 h. is held in the Uvic a debate entitled "The Syrian refugee crisis: the European shame" coordinated by Maria Forga (LMI UVic) and moderated by Teresa Carreras, member of the APEC. Participants are the lawyer Eduard Sagarra, experte in EU and Immigration Law; journalist Agus Morales, a former partner of Médicos sin Fronteras and current editor of the magazine 5W and Jad, a syrian based in Vic since ten years ago.

"Entornos 2.0 de las sociedades científicas" study, conducted by researchers Guillem Marca and Joan Frigola, of consolidated research group LMI, together with researchers Lorena Guillén and Kathy Matilla, has been awarded as one of Las Mejores Ideas of 2015 in the Professional Politics category of the 14th edition of Diario Médico Awards, held on November 16 at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya. The study analyzes the 2.0 profile and presence of the scientific societies.

Dr. Mariona Grané the LMI-UB has given a talk for parents organized by the Association of Pediatrics at the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona,  titled: Growing up with technology: how we educate our children in a digital society? , which was attended by 90 interested parents.

The European Union has approved a project Erasmus +  in the field of Learning Mobility of Individuals. The LMI-UVIC Research group participates as a partner. The project "Reporting on diversity: an ethical representation of migrants and ethnic minorities" focuses on responsible journalism on diversity. Includes the participation of 44 students and media professionals in a workshop in Catania, Italy, from 13 to 19 October 2015.
