Mediación digital parental. ¿Es necesaria una educación digital en la primera infancia?

Families and educators are facing the perception of educational opportunity and the panic they feel towards the consequences of technology use among young children. The uncertainties are diverse and there is not much research that shows how parents integrate technologies at home and how they manage their young children's relationship with screens. The situation shows that beyond worrying, we need to take responsibility for it.

This study questions the need to design educational and contextualized actions of the use of digital technologies during early childhood. A systematized review of digital parenting studies is carried out with specific attention to boys and girls under six years.

The aim is to find a response to the family influence on the use of media and its repercussions on children’s development. Additionally, we aspire to understand the scope of research in digital parenting, to analyze the needs for deepening knowledge and also the gaps on this issue.
