Three LMI researchers have participated as speakers at the VI International Congress of Communication Research Methodologies organized by the Department of Applied Communication Sciences, GECA and the Faculty of Information Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid from 5 to 7 of November.
We start App2five, an R & D project
The App2five project has just started as an R & D Projects of Knowledge Generation of the state program of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. The project will allow acquiring new knowledge on how to adapt the interactive digital resources to child development (and children with SEN), in order to improve its design and promote the creation and selection of quality content aimed at early childhood.
Article in Journal of HC studies
Dra. Lucrezia Crescenzi (LMI-UVIC) and Dra. Mariona Grané (LMI-UB) have published the article "Touch gesture performed by children under 3 years old when drawing and coloring on a tablet" in the International Journal of Human-Computer Studies, where they analyze the interaction of young children with mobile devices (tablets).
Two projects supported by CAC
The project "Analysis of apps and protection mechanisms for early childhood" directed by Lucrezia Crescenzi (LMI-UVIC) and "YouTubers and inclusive speech" directed by Raul Martínez (LMI-UVIC) received a grant from the Broadcasting Council of Catalonia (CAC) in the XI Call for Support for Research on Audiovisual Communication.

LMI with Kids Barcelona
The LMI with Mariona Grané (LMI-UB) collaborates in Barcelona Kids project from Hospital San Joan de Déu. This project is part of an international project "Disease Impacting Kids and Families Through Science (KIDS)" of the International Children's Advisory Network (ICAN).
KIDS Barcelona gives voice to children and adolescents who participate in clinical trials, in the process of understanding, communication and improvement methods of medical innovation that affect children and young patients.
