From Educational segregation to transformative inclusion.

This article analyzes how said research methodology identifies and analyzes those student groupings that provide greater academic success and improve classroom coexistence at Spanish educational centers.

The study aimed at assessing the relation between inclusion and academic achievement of primary schools in Catalonia. The evidences show the efforts of schools to implement inclusive practices, but also the difficulty to include family and community in education activities. The most innovative performances are a challenge for many schools yet.

Workshops in teacher inclusive training: First research findings and students' own voices

Progress of findings from an study about workshop of simulation and case studies in inclusive teacher training. This showed, considering the views of involved students, the efficency of method to bridge the gap between theory and practice.

Erasmus + Reporting on diversity

The European Union has approved a project Erasmus +  in the field of Learning Mobility of Individuals. The LMI-UVIC Research group participates as a partner. The project "Reporting on diversity: an ethical representation of migrants and ethnic minorities" focuses on responsible journalism on diversity. Includes the participation of 44 students and media professionals in a workshop in Catania, Italy, from 13 to 19 October 2015.

Erasmus Plus, promote workshops with European students and journalists to promote a rigorous and professional treatment of diversity, migration processes and ethnic minorities.

MARGIN project: top score of 15 out of 15

The MARGIN Coordination and Support Action is a research project funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 programme and it has been evaluated with the top score of 15 out of 15. Antonio Bartolomé and Riccardo Valente of the Interactive Media Lab (LMI) of the University of Barcelona coordinate the project.

The project provides policy makers with evidence-based tools for developing and assessing strategies targeted at the reduction of insecurity among different demographic and socioeconomic groups.

Margin Project H2020: Kick off Meeting

The Margin project has already started. Last week the Kick of Meeting was organized. It was initial meeting that took place at Uninversitat de Barcelona with all partners: UB, Eurocrime, INHESJ, Departament d’Interior, OKRI, URL, UNIMIB It was the starting point of the project that will last two years.
