The use of learning analytics (collection and analysis of student's data) could help to understand the learning process and to improve learning environments. However, up to now the learning analytics have had several difficulties which are highlighted in this paper. To be a source for the learning improvement is still a challenge.
Posibilidades del Blockchain en Educación
The blockchain is a new technology that is breaking through in many fields, and also in the educational system. But it is not a specific technology which you can expect to improve a concrete situation: It is more a technology that allows registering events from an innovative form. And this can be translated into unsuspected changes. After presenting what Blockchain is and some examples of social uses, in the applications currently in use, there is an analysis of the problems to which the technology aims to answer.

Generated for all of degrees of the university, the object of a lot of educational innovation and research projects, the so-called generic competences, are they a sufficiently well-known universe? How do they affect the university space? Are they as well-served as relevant? Are planned in a realistic way?
These and other questions are answered by Jaume Fabregat and Javier Oliver, from the perspective of the Polytechnic Universities of Barcelona and Valencia, and Elena Cano from the University of Barcelona.

Dra. Lucrezia Crescenzi (LMI-UVIC) and Dra. Mariona Grané (LMI-UB) have published the article "Touch gesture performed by children under 3 years old when drawing and coloring on a tablet" in the International Journal of Human-Computer Studies, where they analyze the interaction of young children with mobile devices (tablets).
Kick off meeting of TKCOm
This January we have celebrated the Kick Off Meeting of european project TKCOM, Building up Chinese Teachers Key Competences through a Global Competence-Based Framework, in the University of Barcelona. The project is one of 37 selected for funding in the Region 6 - Asia, in Erasmus +, Capacity Building in Higher Education.

Collaboration with RTVC
Mariona Grané (LMI-UB) collaborates with the local TV in Cardedeu (RTVC) in its project MicroTips, where local experts talk about 2 minuts giving practical tips on different topics. She talks about technology, family, and education.
