Starting TKCOM project

The European project "Building up Chinese Teachers Key Competences through a Global Competence-Based Framework" has been started. It is a Capacity Building for Higher Education coordinated by Dr. Elena Cano (LMI UB) with the Universities of Coimbra, Nottingham Trent University, Beijing Normal University, Southwest Normal University and Northwest Normal University. In January the Kick off Meeting will be held!

 

P2P4L2L (Peer to Peer for Learning to Learn)

The project aims to increase the competence to learn to learn as a consequence of the development of peer evaluation processes through the use of the workshop tool of Moodle.

The study aimed at assessing the relation between inclusion and academic achievement of primary schools in Catalonia. The evidences show the efforts of schools to implement inclusive practices, but also the difficulty to include family and community in education activities. Nuevas posibilidades de Aprendizaje por Proyectos Colaborativos Masivos mediante Learning Analytics: Un Análisis de Caso

One way to improve the education of our students is to promote the creation of massive collaborative projects. These projects, also seen as learning products, would also help to better scale our learning experiences (Massive Open Online Courses-MOOCs) and generate collective value from the hours and cognitive efforts invested doing academic work. But the complexities to assess those projects are challenging.

Social commitment and communication skills

Jaume Fabregat, a researcher at the LMI, has been appointed to develop the explicit function of the coordination of the teaching on generic skills within the set of bachelor's degrees related to biosystems engineering at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Barcelona Tech) through an innovative design
