Faculty and Studentsʼ perceptions about Assessment in Blended Learning during Pandemics: the Case of the University of Barcelona
Blended teaching and learning modalities are well established in higher education, particularly after all learning through pandemics. This study wantsaims to explore faculty and students’ perceptions about potentially empowering assessment practices in blended teaching and learning environments during remote teaching and learning. Two samples of 129 university educators and 265 students of the University of Barcelona responded to a survey.

Personalization is one of the recurring themes in education since the beginning of time and has occupied a large amount of specialised literature, since its appearance in the1960s. A systematic exploration of the literature of the last 55 years (1960-2015) is presented and is intended to analyse which educational perspective underlies the customized environments or experiences proposed in the educational technology that is addressed in the literature.

The irruption of COVID-19 has caused a sudden change in the university, from a face-to-face environment to a virtual one, generating dysfunctions and doubts. This change is nothing more than the verification of the existing distance between a network society and a traditional university. To overcome this gap, it is necessary to be aware of the paradigmatic change that has occurred in communication, education, the way we organize ourselves, institutional structures and even labor relations, among other fields.
