Kick off meeting of TKCOm
This January we have celebrated the Kick Off Meeting of european project TKCOM, Building up Chinese Teachers Key Competences through a Global Competence-Based Framework, in the University of Barcelona. The project is one of 37 selected for funding in the Region 6 - Asia, in Erasmus +, Capacity Building in Higher Education.
New R+D project
The LMI research group, participates in the project ESTRATEGIAS METODOLOGICAS PARA LA PERSONALIZACION DE ITINERARIOS DE APRENDIZAJE EN ENTORNOS ENRIQUECIDOS POR TECNOLOGIA, funded by the PROGRAMA ESTATAL DE INVESTIGACIÓN, DESARROLLO E INNOVACIÓN ORIENTADA A LOS RETOS DE LA SOCIEDAD (Ref. EDU2017-84223-R). With a length of 3 years, it is coordinated by the INSTITUTO DE INVESTIGACIÓN E INNOVACIÓN EDUCATIVA from the Universitat de Illes Balears, with the participation of the universities of Barcelona, Lleida, Murcia, Santiago de Chile y Autónoma de Baja California.
Blockchain and teaching
Antonio Bartolomé (LMI UB) has given the conference "Blockchain: una tecnología disruptiva en la Enseñanza" at the VI Seminario Internacional: Tecnologías para la evaluación de los aprendizajes, celebrado en Málaga, Dec. 4th. 2017.
Autumn PhD days
The Autumn PhD days will celebrate in November, 29th and 30th. These days are held twice a year and are organized jointly between the Faculty of Education and the PhD programs in Physical Activity, Physical Education and Sports, Teaching of Sciences, Languages, Arts and Humanities, and Education and Society.
Starting TKCOM project
The European project "Building up Chinese Teachers Key Competences through a Global Competence-Based Framework" has been started. It is a Capacity Building for Higher Education coordinated by Dr. Elena Cano (LMI UB) with the Universities of Coimbra, Nottingham Trent University, Beijing Normal University, Southwest Normal University and Northwest Normal University. In January the Kick off Meeting will be held!
P2P4L2L (Peer to Peer for Learning to Learn)
The project aims to increase the competence to learn to learn as a consequence of the development of peer evaluation processes through the use of the workshop tool of Moodle.

Nueva publicación sobre los resultados del proyecto ARAFI, liderado por la Doctora Elena Cano
La revista interuniversitaria Pedagogía Social ha publicado en su último número el artículo "La visión de los estudiantes de origen extranjero sobre factores y competencias clave para el acceso a la universidad" donde se presentan los resultados del proyecto Competencias y factores clave para el éxito educativo des de la perspectiva de los estudiantes universitarios hijos/as de immigrantes, financiado por la Generalitat de Catalunya los años 2012 y 2013.
La visión de los estudiantes de origen extranjero sobre factores y competencias clave para el acceso a la universidad
Un dels reptes educatius més importants en l'actualitat és el de lluitar contra l'absentisme i abandonament escolar. Un cas especialment rellevant és el dels estudiants immigrants que, en ocasions, són un col·lectiu vulnerable que ocasiona que la diferència dels resultats entre immigrants i nadius sigui gran, de manera que només un percentatge molt reduït arriba a la universitat.
