ICT applied to training. Beyond online training

Organizations face a challenge: training their workers. They must be updated, knowledgeable about new processes and new resources. And for this, various strategies are used, many of them powered by technology. And they already know many resources to do it.
In this chapter we go a little further: we will review the technologies that are revolutionizing training design today. Some are consolidating and others remain hesitant without finding their way. But all the technologies that we mention here have a long journey ahead ... in the conditions in which we are going to discuss it.

Mobile creation in communication studies and the challenge of its adoption in higher education

In the audio-visual industry it is increasingly common to find professional productions created with mobile devices, mobile journalism continues to grow, the smartphone market places increasing emphasis on camera quality and mobile cinema (created with smartphones) is more relevant every day. Yet despite this change at the industry level, the study ‘Apps4CAV’ reveals that future audio-visual creators receive no training in the use of mobile devices as part of their university courses.

The UB-LMI research group jointly with the Universitat de Lleida, la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and several primary schools are carrying out the project titled: “Initial Teacher Training in Behaviour Regulation: Analysis of the situation and design of a cross-training proposal for the Degrees of Early Childhood and Primary Education”. This project is funded by the AGAUR (Agency for Management of University and Research Grants) and coordinated by Dr. Ignasi Puigdellívol (LMI UB).

Análisis de experiencias de innovación docente universitaria sobre evaluación

Experiences related to assessment included in teaching innovation proceedings from 2011-2015 are analysed with the aim to know what assessments elements are innovated and whatfields of knowledge these innovations belong to.
